How do you eat?
Vegan? Vegetarian? Paleo? Primal? Locavore? Organic?
And, environmentally speaking (or otherwise, I suppose), why do you see this as the best option? Does it tie in with permaculture principles? You actually don’t have to answer this part, but if you have input, it’s appreciated.

You don’t need much, but you do need:

any ruminant manure
lime
cardboard (or hessian bags)
Lucerne hay (or any acacia leaves)
straw (seedless)
